Ms. Tamera Schillerstrom To All Instructors

Hello! My name is Tamera Schillerstrom. I was born and raised in Arizona. I went to school in the Paradise Valley School District kindergarten
through fifth grade.

My family moved and I went to school in the Peoria School District 6 th grade all the way through walking as a senior in high
school. After high school I went to college.

During college I bought my first house, I got married, and I had my first son. Since I had him at an early age, he attended college classes with me because I was bound and determined to graduate. (Which I did!!!!)

After graduating college, I got a job in the Peoria Unified School District. I worked at a school for three years. During my third year I had my second son. I took a year off to be with my two boys. After taking a year off, I was placed at another school in the Peoria District.

My oldest son started kindergarten there while I started my fourth-year teaching. I worked at that school for 20 years. During those
twenty years I have taught second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and eighth grade. I have also added two more children to my bunch,
relationship changes, and plenty of animals.

Over my twenty-four years of teaching, I have seen so many changes. I have seen God taken out of the classroom completely, students not respecting adults, parents not having the backs of teachers, etc. With all these changes going on I needed a change. I still love children and education, but I knew that there was a different way to do it and that is what has brought me to United Collective.

I am so excited to start my new adventure.
