We understand that circumstances may arise that require families to withdraw from the cooperative, and we have established this refund policy to address such situations fairly and transparently.

Enrollment Fees

Enrollment fees are non-refundable. These fees cover administrative costs and secure your child’s place in the cooperative for the upcoming academic year.

Tuition Refunds:

Refunds for tuition are based on the timing of the withdrawal request. The following schedule outlines the refund percentages based on the date of withdrawal:

  • Before the first day of the academic year: 100% refund of tuition paid, minus a processing fee of $50.
  • Within the first two weeks of the academic year: 75% refund of tuition paid.
  • Weeks 3-4 of the academic year: 50% refund of tuition paid.
  • Weeks 5-6 of the academic year: 25% refund of tuition paid.
  • After the sixth week of the academic year: No refund will be issued.

Special Circumstances:

In cases of extraordinary circumstances (e.g., serious illness, family emergency), the cooperative board may review and consider exceptions to the standard refund policy. Requests for special consideration must be submitted in writing with appropriate documentation.

Refund Process:

To request a refund, parents must submit a written request to the cooperative’s administrative office, including the reason for withdrawal and the date of the last day the student attended the cooperative. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the written request and any required documentation.

Materials and Supplies:

Fees for materials and supplies are non-refundable once distributed to the student. This includes textbooks, workbooks, and other educational resources.

 Extracurricular Activities:

Refunds for extracurricular activities (e.g., field trips, clubs, sports) will be issued based on the policies of the specific activity. Generally, if the cooperative incurs costs that cannot be recovered, those costs will be deducted from any potential refund.

Dispute Resolution:

If a dispute arises regarding the refund policy or the amount of refund issued, families may request a meeting with the cooperative board to discuss the matter. The board’s decision will be final.

Policy Changes:

This refund policy is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to families in writing and will apply to future enrollments and payments.

By enrolling your child in United Collective, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this refund policy.

For any questions or further clarification, please contact Campus Director Kristen Sylvester.
