What is the mission of United Collective?

Mission Statement:

At United Collective, our mission is to cultivate a Christ-centered educational environment that integrates rigorous academic instruction with practical trade skills, empowering students to thrive both spiritually and professionally. We are dedicated to nurturing the God-given potential of each student by providing a comprehensive education that emphasizes:

When will United Collective start and end?

United Collective Fall semester will start on August 20, 2024 and end on December 10, 2024.  

United Collective Spring semester will start on January 9, 2025 and will end on May 8, 2025. 

What is the academic calendar for Spring?

What day of the week will United Collective happen?

United Collective is expected to occur every week on Thursdays and will have multiple events that occur throughout the year.  

Where is the Location for United Collective?

The Location for United Collective will be announced in Mid July 2024, but will be located in the west valley.  

What will the structure be for United Collective?

United Collective will be a one day a week community that meets on Thursdays for a full day of learning and fun.  We are located in Litchfield Park, AZ.  

How many families will be accepted into United Collective?

Upon opening we will have a maxium of 100 students.    We will also hold a wait list for interest as we expand and grow.

Are Parents welcome to stay?

Yes, absolutely we encourage it as many other things will be occuring on campus that parents can learn and grow to expand their toolbox during the day.  

What are the qualifications for your instructors?

At United Collective safety is the number one priority and we want to ensure the experience is a professional, faith based, empowering experience for the students and parents.  

Teachers, Tutors, and Instructors must all hold a Fingerprint Clearance Card and proper creditionals for teaching their course and subject matter.  

Background Checks are required and they must maintain all professional standards within United Collective.  

Will you offer programs for Adaptive Learners?

Absolutely, United Collective is an inclusive space for all and we want to ensure we have courses and classes designed to empower and expand education throughout the community.  We want to be a safe secure space where others feel seen and heard and can come without judgement and feel supported.  

Are you an Allowable Expense for ESA?

Yes, at United Collective the courses and classes will be an allowable expense.

What grades will the United Collective offer?

We will offer all grades from Kindergarten to High school graduate.  

What is the policy for refunds and cancellation? 

United Collective Cancellation Policy 

Our community is built on trust, commitment, and the shared goal of fostering a nurturing environment for our families. To ensure the sustainability of our program and fairness to all participants, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Membership Cancellation

• Notice Requirement: Families must provide written notice at least 30 days before the intended cancellation date.

• Refund Eligibility:

  • If notice is given before the program start date, a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee will be issued.

  • If notice is given after the program start date, refunds are not available as resources and commitments have already been allocated.

2. Class Enrollment Cancellation

• Before Classes Begin:

  • Families who withdraw from individual classes prior to the start of the semester will receive a refund for class fees minus a $25 processing fee per class.

• After Classes Begin:

  • No refunds will be provided.

  • Special exceptions (e.g., medical emergencies) will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to board approval.

3. Event or Workshop Cancellation

• Community Events and Workshops:

  • Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to the event will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded.

4. Responsibility to Inform

Families who cancel their membership or enrollment are responsible for returning any borrowed materials, ensuring outstanding payments are settled, and notifying instructors or team leaders of their withdrawal.

5. Program Discontinuation

In the unlikely event that a class, program, or event is canceled by the community due to unforeseen circumstances, families will receive a prorated refund for any unfulfilled portions.

This policy ensures that we can maintain the quality of our programs while being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to our shared mission.

What is the investment and fees to United Collective?

Cost breakdown for United Collective: 

As part of our commitment to providing a high-quality, faith-based educational experience, our Christian Hybrid Homeschooling Community operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students and families. To sustain our programs and resources, we require an annual membership fee per student.

Your investment in this membership fee directly supports our mission to provide a nurturing and academically challenging environment grounded in Christian values. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to a successful and enriching year together.

Student Registration Fee (Registration per student per semester) —

• Regular Registration – $300.00 per student

Our unique a la carte course offerings allow students from K-12th grade to customize their education, choosing the classes that best meet their academic needs and interests. This approach ensures that every student receives a tailored education that aligns with their goals and values.

Our Christian Hybrid Community is dedicated to providing an educational environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and personally. By offering courses a la carte, we ensure that every family can create an educational experience that is as unique as their child.

Building Course Fees —

• $270 per class, per student.
• Additonal supply fees may apply.

These fees can be paid electronically. More info will be provided upon completing registration.

NOTE: Your student’s spot in any class cannot be secured until ALL payments are received.

*Lab costs will vary by subject, with biology and chemistry labs costing more than physics and earth science.

United Collective will procure all basic supplies for the collective community.  Class supplies such as textbooks, materials, and more will be added to your class cost. 

The base cost per class will be $270.00 per course per student.  If additonal supplies or lab costs are needed they will be listed and resources will be given with your class enrollment 

Invoicing and Payment: United Collective will invoice your family through the member portal, where you can pay securely. After payment, you can download a paid invoice for your records or reimbursement needs. We accept ESA debit card payments and provide assistance from ESA experts.

 
Late Payments: Payments made after the 5th of the month will be considered late. A late fee of $50 will be charged to your child's account unless accommodation have been arranged. 

Additonal Information on Curriculum and Lab Fees —

At United Collective, we strive to provide a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for all our students. As part of our commitment to high-quality education, certain curriculum and lab fees are required to cover the costs of essential materials, resources, and hands-on learning opportunities. These fees are paid and purchased by the student to ensure they have access to the necessary tools for success.

Curriculum and Lab fees will be listed at class registration to provide full transparency in what is needed for the course. 

Curriculum Fees:

Purpose: The curriculum fees cover the cost of textbooks, workbooks, digital resources, and other instructional materials required for each course. These materials are carefully selected to align with our educational goals and Christian values, providing a well-rounded and rigorous academic experience.

Components:

• Textbooks and Workbooks: Comprehensive and grade-appropriate books for core subjects such as Math, Science, English, History, and elective courses.
• Digital Resources: Access to online platforms, educational software, and digital libraries that supplement and enhance traditional learning materials.
• Supplemental Materials: Additional resources such as study guides, practice worksheets, and reference materials to support student learning.

Purchase Process: Families will receive a list of required materials and instructions on how to purchase them directly from approved vendors or through the cooperative.

Lab Fees-

Purpose: Lab fees are designed to cover the costs associated with hands-on learning experiences, experiments, and practical applications in subjects such as Science, Art, and Technology. These fees ensure that students have access to high-quality, safe, and effective lab equipment and supplies.

Components:

• Science Labs: Materials for experiments, lab equipment, safety gear, and consumables such as chemicals and specimen samples.
• Art Labs: Supplies for various art projects, including paints, brushes, canvases, sculpting tools, and craft materials.
• Technology Labs: Equipment and software for computer science projects, robotics, engineering activities, and other tech-based learning.

Payment and Purchase:

• Initial Payment: Lab fees are typically due at the start of each semester or academic year, based on the specific courses enrolled.
• Purchase Process: The cooperative will provide a detailed list of required lab materials and purchasing instructions. Some items may be provided directly by the cooperative, while others may need to be purchased by families.

What if I need to withdraw my student from the Collective?

We understand that circumstances may change, and families may need to withdraw their student from the Collective before the school year begins. Here is an overview of the process for withdrawing a student:

Notification

1. Early Notification: We appreciate early notification as it allows us to better accommodate changes and assist with transition plans.

2. Contact Information: Please contact our administrative office via phone or email to inform us of your decision to withdraw your student.

Withdrawal Process

1. Communication: A member of our administrative team will discuss the withdrawal process with you and provide any necessary forms or documentation.

2. Documentation: Complete and submit the withdrawal form, which may include information such as the reason for withdrawal and effective date.

3. Financial Considerations: Address any outstanding financial obligations, including tuition or fees, according to our withdrawal policy.

Transition Assistance

1. Records Transfer: Upon request, we can assist in transferring academic records or providing documentation needed for enrollment elsewhere.

2. Support Resources: We are available to provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition for both the student and family.

Enrollment Duration: While United Collective does not require parents to sign a contract for a specific enrollment duration,  we do ask for a minium of one year committment.  This allows families, instructors, and the community the opportunity to truly experinece what the collective has to offer.  There are contracts in place for our teachers and aides. To ensure smooth operations, we request your notice in writing if you decide to withdraw your student.

Once the semester starts, if a parent chooses to drop classes after the semester begins, any class fees are forfeited, and families remain responsible for the full semester's tuition. However, families will not incur charges for the following semester if a student withdraws in writing before the semester starts.
